...how dare you, ma'am?! These are fucking adorable, smell fantastic, and come with personalized compliments and gloating??
Elle has definitely just pulled into the lead and this cannot stand.
The box is set on the counter (minus one cookie, which is already getting eaten and is just as good as it looks, goddamn her) and the photos tacked to the side of the fridge, and then Kazu is rummaging through the kitchen... and messaging Kurt. Because what he winds up wanting to make will need to go in the fridge and also he suspects it'll get him an extra point if they magically appear in her kitchen.
Is that cheating? Maybe. Does he give a shit? NO, THIS IS WAR.
Kazu has no idea if Elle's ever tried mochi back home, but it's not something he's found in this city and is easy to customize for a holiday. Christmas-themed ichigo daifuku coming right up... a ripe red strawberry surrounded by chocolate ganache (better not to get too foreign on her, right?) and wrapped in green matcha mochi. He debates dusting them with powdered sugar, then hesitates, sends Val on an emergency trip to the store, and then glazes them so silver snowflake sprinkles will stick.
There. They go in a little wax-paper lined treat box with a clear window so she can see what's inside, "็งใ้ฃในใฆ" (EAT ME) written in neat print on top. The card currently stuck in the window is also written in Japanese except for her name on the envelope, just "ELLE" in the same marker as on the box.
Merry Christmas. You are entirely too lovely, I'm glad others have realized that. Share with them if you like. - Kazu P.S. Keep refrigerated, best within 2 days of delivery.
Whether or not she catches the delivery man, Kazu can't control... he's sending them directly into her refrigerator via teleporting friend courier service. The idea is Kurt will tack the card to the door so Elle knows to check inside and find her treats, but his teleportation also isn't subtle. It's definitely possible that Elle will hear the soft bamf and come to see who's in her kitchen!
They're both such sweethearts that Kazu isn't worried about a little home invasion between friends, in his mind this will just be cute and he'll regain the lead.
...he'd better regain the lead!! (And hopefully she'll enjoy the treats.)
delivery!
this is war, elle... (slightly backdated!)
